Mark “Goodfeather”Smidt is a multi instrumentalist / singer, songwriter/ producer from Los Angeles, California.

Mark began playing trumpet at the age of 11 and  over the years has added  bass, guitar, drums, piano, trombone, flute, and saxophone to his repertoire. “I was dedicated to doing music as a living when I was 13, there was never another option”-Mark

At age 18, he moved to Philadelphia, PA to study Trumpet and Bass at University of The Arts on a full 4 year scholarship.

After leaving UoTA, He and four other U Arts students started the band  Townhall. Townhall quickly became the biggest local group in Philadelphia. They were the first local band since The Roots to sell out the famous theatre the TLA. Mark continued with Townhall for the following six years until they broke up in 2006

During the time of departure with Townhall, Mark moved back to Los Angeles, CA where he began to do studio work, teach private lessons, and sell horns to make a living. All the while honing in on his music production/ engineering skills.

In 2009, through a mutual friend  Mark became connected with well-known Recording Artist / Producer Cisco Adler.  Cisco had just had a few top ten hits with Mickey Avalon and  Shwayze. Mark collaborated on the Swayze and Cisco second Major Label album “Let it Beat.”  This led to a gig as the live touring DJ/ Musican for Shwayze and Cisco.

In 2011 Mark worked on the third Shwayze and Cisco album “Island In the Sun”, this time co-writing on three songs including the title track, “waste the time away” and “summertime music”

These days Mark continues collaborate with Cisco Adler ,as well as producing and writing on as many projects as humanly possible.
